Have a dog with special needs? Visit Town & Country in Apex, NC

On your left is a photo of my dog Maggie.  I call her my "Goofie Girl".  She has allergies and a fettish for shoes, pants, underwear, and "people food".   Regardless of the challenges posed by Maggie, she adores us and we adore her - at least most of the time

I thought I have a ton of energy but Maggie has even more.  That is why Maggie's vet told us about Town & Country in ApexTown & Country's website talks about the services they provide for dogs that have special needs.  That's my dog.

Just as I want the best for my child I also want the best for my Maggie.   Town & Country offers a variety of services including boarding, grooming, training, and daycare.  Maggie has been to the Town & Country obedience classes several times but somehow she has succeeded in failing the beginnerDoggie Daycare training class on more than one occassion.

Besides the training Town & Country offers a drop off service for dogs that they call doggie daycare.  Doggie daycare seems to cure Maggie.  There's nothing like dropping your dog off to play with several other hyper labs for up to 8 hours.  When Maggie gets home from daycare all she wants to do is hang out!!  Watch a video of the daycare "playtime" service here.  During the spring and summer months the dogs have an opportunity to go to the beach, Paw Beach that is.  The link above is a link to of the doggies playing at the beach.

If you decide to board your dog at Town & Country book ahead especially during the holidays. Town & Country offers luxury pet services like sofa time, tv time, and playtime.  I'm not kidding!!

If you live in the Triangle this facility is the best in the area, in my opinion.  If you don't check around with a few of your friends.  You may be lucky and they will have a facility in your area.

Doggie DaycareP.S.  I clicked on the video links and good 'ol Maggie had to get in a couple of barks to let me know she really likes Town & Country and that she hasn't been back in a while.  Time to take Maggie back to her hold stomping ground to catch up with her pals.   It's too late to drop Maggie off today.   Maybe I'll just settle for the dog park instead since my Maggie deserves the best.

Cute post. I love the idea of Doggy Day Care - My dogs run and run and run all day long. By the time dinner is served they are passed out.

Tracy.....  Maggie looks to be a good looking dog. It's amazing on how some dogs get the same attention or sometimes more, than kids do. In regards to the picture with the dogs on the clothes line... hysterical and cute.

Tracy:  Awwwwwwwwwww...Maggie is adorable!! I have a doggie with way too much energy. He is not a puppy anymore, but he still acts like one. (I will RESIST the urge to apply this theory to ALL men!!!) LOL Funny thing...I live HERE and I did not know about Town and Country. GOOD STUFF!!!

Maggie looks like she gives you a run for your money. I am glad you have a friend to turn to. I grew up with animals and now I do not have any my husband is allergic to them.

Jeff - Maggie is something else.  At 3 1/2 she's still on a terror for whatever that is worth.

Elizabeth - Always kind, gentle and passionate.  He is not a puppy anymore, but he still acts like one.  I like this notation, however, My Maggie is a girl!! She' likes the boys too even though she's been fixed.  When she sees a cute guy it's hard to keep her inside the invisible fence.

Susan - Maggie looks like she gives you a run for your money.  Glad you understand who the boss is in our family :?#!@$

My point - Other than Maggies obvious limitations she is one of the most grateful canines you'll ever meet.

Well, she is a pretty Lab....    and if still a terror at 3 1/2, I am sure she will be for a few more years.  ;o)

Maggie is one lucky dog to get pampered by such a caring Mom. Does her fettish involve chewing all of the above mentioned clothing items... Fettish for people food... I thought that cam with the territory. Ar ehtere some dogs that don't like it?

This is an excellent resource for dog lovers in your area!

Hi Tracy,
This is a great service for dog owners and a growing type of business.  My brother and his wife have an animal hospital in Great Falls, Va and they have day care there too.  Also, they provide an upscale boarding option which has become very popular and successful.  We love our animals and want the best for them.

Ginger - That is SO cute.  LUCMA - Yes, that's my Maggie.

Cynthia - Very interesting about your brother.  I'm sure he and his wife are passionate animal lovers and great people since they are animal lovers like my family.
